Is Kangen Water a Scam?

You read it right…
Kangen Water machines are a big scam. And by that, I mean a ripoff.
More specifically, they are very overpriced to the market.
And I’m about to prove why…
You can buy a machine that produces at least as effective results (and a machine that I personally believe is more user-friendly) for approximately 1/3 the standard price of a “Kangen Water” machine.
Skeptical? Read on.
Why Do I Care?
Good question. I’m only 22, and in perfect health…
But I first heard of “Kangen Water” from my parents.
My parents started drinking “Kangen” and felt the positive health benefits immediately. They were buying their ionized water by the gallon from one of these Enagic dealers when they let me know that they were looking into purchasing a machine through him.
They told me all about how their arthritis had practically disappeared, how it was a joy to wake up in the morning with extra energy, etc.
They told me that in the past year, this man had earned over $100,000 from “Kangen Water” commissions ALONE.
Good business, huh? Yeah.
Obviously, I was thrilled that my parents were feeling positive health benefits. But before they attended a Kangen information session and dropped $4000 on a machine…
I wanted to make sure they were getting a fair deal.
So…
I Did Some Research For My Parents.
And I found some interesting information online.
It’s readily available to those who know what to look for, but easily clouded by the overwhelming amounts of pro-Kangen web sites which are produced by these “Kangen” Dealers who are just out looking for a profit.
After sifting through a whole ton of Marketing and BS, I finally found a few sources of quality information.
And I came to the conclusion that…
Kangen Dealers are ripping people off.
Wanna know how?
Of course you do. And I’m going to tell you!
Here’s what I found…
What is “Kangen Water?”
“Kangen Water” has been recently popularized in the USA by the company Enagic. To me, Enagic sounds a lot like Evil… Probably because I think that stealing money is evil.
The word Kangen means “Return to Origin” in Japanese, and is just a marketing term.
The scientific name for a “Kangen Water” machine is Water Ionizer. But I suppose that doesn’t sound as alluring as the word Kangen. So they changed it, but don’t be fooled. “Kangen Water” IS ionized water.
More About Evil Enagic…
Obviously, Enagic is very good at marketing. In fact, they are a “Multi-Level Marketing” company, commonly referred to as a Pyramid Scheme.

Looks like a pyramid to me, eh?
What you have to realize is that with their 8-point commission structure comes a nasty price markup... Like, over $2000 extra per machine in commissions. Yeah, nasty.
But with a higher price MUST come a better machine, right?
Wrong.
Their machine offers no discernible advantages over the KYK Harmony Water Ionizer, which only costs $1199...
That’s right… buying a “Kangen Water” Machine is akin to flushing money down the toilet.
But the Story Gets Better!
Because as of May 7th, 2008, the KYK ionizer company released their newest water ionizer – the KYK Genesis Water Ionizer.
Not only does the new KYK Genesis have even better ionizing technology than the old KYK Harmony Water Ionizer, the new KYK Genesis is also much easier to use and install.
So, if you thought the old KYK Harmony measured up evenly with the $4000+ Enagic Ripoff machine…
Then one could probably reason that the new, improved KYK Genesis Water Ionizer is OBVIOUSLY better than the Enagic Kangen Water machine.
Well then, the new KYK Genesis must cost at least $5000, right? Wouldn’t that be fair?
Well, no…
Because Enagic is still a horrendous ripoff.
Actually, the new KYK Genesis costs only $1399.
So, the bottom line is:
If you’re considering purchasing a “Kangen Water” machine from Evil Enagic (a corrupt pyramid scheme), do yourself a favor…
SAVE OVER $2600 and Order the KYK Genesis Water Ionizer, which is both 1) a more advanced machine and 2) Easier to operate.

Thanks for confirming what I have suspected all along. They were
much to high priced (Kangen Enagic Machine). I have been looking at at few on line to purchase. But I didnt want to spend 4000.00 dollars. I saw a few starting at about 400.00 for small portable unit and up to 4000.00.
I am currently purchasing my water from a Enagic dealer, and it adds up. I want to buy one soon. I like the way the Kangen machine displays the ph amount on the front and the voice feature.
Do you know any other machine that has those same features?

I first heard about this water from my niece. She says it’s the best and there is no other water like. After checking into a few things myself, I am more inclined to believe that the cost of the Leveluk SD501 is outrages. Especially when I looked at Kangenwater.com and saw that the machine should sell for $1290.00 USD. So Yeah theres some kinda of scam going on here.

Enagic sounds like “evil”? Huh? Mary Kay must be satanic, then. Your only gripe is the price, you never address the health benefits of the machine and don’t say why the other machine is better. So what if the Kangen dealers make money. Isn’t that what we’re all about in America? You should be grateful for your parents’ newfound health.

Do you know if this Kangen thing meets or exceeds any of the Amway Law known as the, “Amway Exception” because if it doesn’t meet those legal standers then it really is a pyramid.

to George Pitner. ive researched several machines and the KYK genesis seems as good as enagic’s and several others. The price does make a difference in todays economy. Study the comparisons and draw your own conclusions. Dont let this guy here and others sway you. But the KYK is worth taking a look.

To the person who wrote about Kangen as a scam. Do you have other suggestions besides KYK? I would be VERY inclined to your opinion if you had more suggestions. For all I know you could be making money off KYK?
I just want to keep my babies healthy and not drain my savings.
Other suggestions so I can make a comparison?

Hi LrH,
There are only two other models I’d recommend looking at, which are relatively competitive. They are by two competitor companies, so you’ll know I’m not trying to restrict any info here. I advise everyone to do their research, because it’s a very expensive machine.
First, the Jupiter Aquarius. The Aquarius is really not much of a competitor, but it’s Jupiter’s top of the line model, and in my opinion is the third best machine on the market, performance-wise, coming in around the level of the Enagic SD-501 machine. Due to having less plates, using a transformer power source instead of more advanced SMPS technology, offering less pH settings, and only having one filter which jupiter has used for years instead of a newer advanced dual filter. I’ve read reviews saying that these machines have difficulty reaching the more acidic pH levels as well, which is unfortunate if you’re looking for the advantages that acidic water can offer around the home, like sanitizing dishes and as an antiseptic on cuts. The Aquarius costs $1795, which is $100 MORE than the Genesis, even though you’d expect it to be cheaper, and since it performs worse, I almost didn’t mention it but I figured I’d give you two new options.
Second, the Tyent MMP-7070. This machine is quite competitive – in fact there are VERY few performance-related advantages that the Genesis has over this model. They both came out in the past year.
I recommend watching these comparison videos: http://www.kangenscam.com/tyent-comparison/. In the videos, the Genesis does soundly beat the Tyent machine, but not by much.
What this leads me to conclude is that the differences between the Genesis and Tyent 7070 are small. The major difference is that the Tyent machine costs $1995 and the KYK Genesis currently costs $1695 on introductory discount. That, to me, is the bottom line. The Genesis performs better and costs $300 less.
